Tuition and other charges at UNVA are set at the minimum permissible for financially responsible operation. Gifts and grants received through the generosity of alumni, industry, foundations, and friends play an important part in reducing the cost of attendance.
Initial Payment
Because of the need to ensure a comfortable settlement for studies during the first semester an advance deposit is required from all students studying on an F1 visa.
Payment per Quadmester
Payment in
full for all tuition and fees is due on or before the first day of the
quadmester during which the course is to be taken. Registration cannot
be completed, and the student cannot be admitted to class, unless
satisfactory payment is made at those times. There will be a 1% per
month charge on any unpaid balance.
Tuition Refund Policy
Students who withdraw before the completion of a quadmester will be charged for tuition in accordance with the following schedule for the period during which they are in residence:

* For a furnished room shared by two students. Basic
utilities (water, trash collection, gas and electricity) are
included. The UNVA requires 3 months’ advance payment plus 1
month’s deposit ($500 X 3 = $1500 + $500 = $2,000.00). The
deposit is refundable providing that students leave the
apartment with no outstanding charges or damage. Any outstanding
amounts will be deducted from the deposit. Students wishing to
rent housing for more than 3 months will be required to repeat
this process and pay a further 3 months’ deposit..

New International Student Deposit check for $1,500 made out to UNVA: This deposit, minus a $200 administrative charge, would be refunded if you decide not to attend UNVA--ONLY IF the I-20 is returned immediately to the Admission office. |
