We hope that the electronically available Admissions Packet will provide and answer your questions about the University of Northern Virginia and the admission requirements and process. Although we require specific documentation from all our applicants, the university wishes to make the admission process as simple as possible. Incomplete application files cannot be processed until all necessary materials are received. The staff at the Admissions Office for both, International and Domestic applications, will do everything possible to assist you. All of us at the University of Northern Virginia are available when you have specific concerns and questions in regards with admissions, academic programs, curricular practical training (Co-Op), student visa applications, registration and fees.

Please review the Admissions Packet and download and fill out the admission forms. The completed application form and all requested documents should be sent to the University of Northern Virginia, Admissions Office for processing. Soon after we receive your application and the required materials you will be notified by letter or e-mail of any documentation that is still needed to complete your file. Only after all of the required materials are received your file will be reviewed and sent to the Admissions Committee for consideration and approval. Please note that after a file becomes complete a decision is typically made within two to three weeks. When an admission decision is reached you will be notified by e-mail and mail with an official letter and (if accepted) a Provisional Admission letter will be sent to you along with the payment information.

Additional Application and Admission Information

If your degree is not from a regular academic institution (at least nationally accredited) or you obtained a HND or 3-year degree or professional certification from recognized bodies in Accountancy, Finance/Financial Analysis, Economics, Marketing, Management or Secretarial profession or etc., we require a detailed course-by-course transcripts evaluation report to be prepared and forwarded directly to us by any of the accrediting agencies member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at www.naces.org. You would be assessed service fees as applicable to your case by the accrediting agency.

Please note that we do not require a GRE or GMAT test scores for admission to our graduate program, but do insist on a minimum undergraduate degree GPA of 3.0 in order to consider your application further.

It will cost on the average, an estimated sum of $18, 500 or $23,500 (tuition and living expenses) per year of study for a single or married student (with a child + spouse) respectively. For a married undergraduate student we estimate a minimum cost of $25,000 per each academic year.

We currently do not have on-campus student housing facilities, but would be glad to assist you in identifying suitable accommodation.

All our students are self-funded, as we do not have any financial assistance or scholarship for international students. You are encouraged to research funding opportunities through www.fastweb.com ; www.internationalstudentloans.com ; www.iefc.com . However, we are pleased to inform you that our university is part of the TERI schools network. Therefore, qualified international applicants may obtain international student loan. Health Insurance is available to our students upon arrival at varying premium rates which depend on age and deductible options selected on enrollment.
