Accreditation
The University of Northern Virginia is certified to operate by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). UNVA is accredited by the American University Accreditation Council (AUAC). UNVA has applied for accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) (http://www.sacscoc.org/details.asp?instid=74200). UNVA is authorized by the United States Government to enroll non-immigrant alien students.
