Despite the ferocious storm that hit the Washington Metropolitan area on Friday night, over 1,200 people, including the students, faculty, Board members, staff, families and friends of UNVA gathered at the majestic building of the Westfields Conference Center (Westfields Marriott) to celebrate the graduation of the class of 2012, the largest graduating class ever in the University’s history.
The Commencement speech was delivered by the Honorable David Bulova, member of the Virginia House of Delegates. Mr. Bulova congratulated the class of 2012 for completing their education in the Commonwealth of Virginia which is rich with American history and great American traditions. He reminded the graduates who are about to enter the real world of the principle of making right choices. He advised the graduating class to follow their conscience and always choose what is right.
